The Community Hot Rod Project, based in Santa Barbara, was founded in February 2021 by a passionate group of five volunteers. Today, it has expanded to 120 dedicated members, all committed to providing free vocational training in building, restoring, and fabricating classic cars and off-road race vehicles. This initiative addresses the critical gap in automotive vocational education in local schools, fostering a positive environment that enhances personal and community etiquette.
Since its inception, the Community Hot Rod Project has successfully conducted three outreach events, offering free oil changes, service light diagnostics, and car detailing to over 200 individuals in the local community.
