Our Story

The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties was established in 1952 by local leaders to create a community savings account that would grow in perpetuity to support future community needs. Over the years, it has invested more than $100 million in the region, built numerous partnerships, and provided various funding opportunities, including scholarships and community grants.
