Our Story
The Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County was established in 1990 to encourage and manage philanthropic support for the long-term benefit of the community and all its residents. Powered by the generosity of individuals, families, and businesses, the Foundation fuels innovative ideas and lasting impact.

Since its incorporation, the Community Foundation has granted $25 million to over 400 local nonprofit organizations. With a growing $32 million endowment, it connects caring people, important causes, and community resources.
