Our Story

Community for Sustainable Energy (CforSE) is a 501(c)(3) education and advocacy organization founded in Fort Collins in 2006. With over 61,000 contributing members across Colorado, including 29,000 in Fort Collins, CforSE is dedicated to developing energy systems that protect the environment, promote economic prosperity, and enhance the quality of life. By engaging citizens in energy policy decisions, CforSE raises awareness of energy issues through door-to-door canvassing and grassroots organizing.

Our Impact

Since its inception, CforSE has knocked on over 600,000 doors and collected more than 110,000 signatures, mobilizing thousands of Colorado residents to advocate for clean energy solutions. This grassroots effort has successfully influenced local energy policies, leading to the implementation of energy efficiency programs and improvements in public transportation.
