Our Story

Founded in 2013, the Community Food Bank of Citrus County is a vital resource for individuals and families facing food insecurity across Citrus, Hernando, and Sumter counties. The mission is clear: ensure that no one goes hungry. Thousands of community members, including young men, women, and seniors, are turning to the CFB for assistance, as they struggle to feed themselves and their families. By raising funds and collecting food, the CFB supports over 60 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and ministries, empowering them to serve those in need.

Impact

Each month, the CFB helps feed more than 70,000 neighbors in need, having distributed over 14 million pounds of food since its inception, equating to over 21 million meals provided to the community!
