Community Doula Alliance

Our Story

Community Doula Alliance is a Black, women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing awareness and advocating for racially, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse doulas. Based in Portland, Oregon, the mission focuses on training exceptional professional doulas while improving maternal and infant health outcomes.

Impact

Since 2021, Community Doula Alliance has supported over 500 families, achieving an impressive 84% vaginal birth rate with CDA doulas. The organization has trained over 40 doulas and dedicated more than 1,000 hours to prenatal, postpartum, and continuous birth support.
