Founded in 2013, Community Arts Stabilization Trust (CAST) has been a beacon of hope for artists in the Bay Area, combating the challenges posed by rising commercial real estate prices. As artists faced displacement, CAST emerged as a community-centered real estate organization dedicated to ensuring that cultural workers can remain anchored in the neighborhoods where they create.

Impacting Communities Through Dedicated Spaces

Over the past decade, CAST has successfully supported more than two dozen arts and community groups in securing dedicated spaces for their work. With a growing team of 16, CAST now manages six projects across San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, totaling over 80,000 square feet of affordable space. Notably, a new collaboration with the Black Cultural Zone aims to develop a market hall and cultural hub with affordable housing in East Oakland.
