About Community Arts Experience

Founded in 2008 by B.J. Pleasant, Community Arts Experience (C.A.E.) addresses the critical need for arts-infused learning programs in Stark County, Ohio. With a focus on underserved children, C.A.E. employs a three-pronged approach that emphasizes family, school, and community engagement. Since achieving 501(c)(3) status in 2009, C.A.E. has expanded its reach to serve individuals aged 7 to 55+, providing essential skills and training for a technology-driven workforce.

Impact of C.A.E.

Community Arts Experience has made a significant impact, with a 34% average increase in student testing results in Science, Reading, and Math. Attendance rates have risen by 5%, and positive student behavior has improved by 11.4%. As a certified trauma-informed organization since 2020, C.A.E. is equipped to support individuals and families affected by trauma and mental health challenges.
