About CommUnify

CommUnify, formerly known as the Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County, was established in 1964 to combat poverty in the region. Over the years, it has evolved into one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Santa Barbara County, employing over 300 dedicated staff members. CommUnify operates 16 diverse programs, including Head Start early education services, energy assistance, and youth intervention services, all aimed at addressing the root causes of poverty.
