Our Story

Founded in 1990 by Gary Jacobs and Marcia Deutsch, Communities In Schools Laredo has been dedicated to supporting at-risk students in the Laredo area. Initially starting with two high schools, the program has expanded to serve 36 partner schools, providing essential resources and support to help students thrive.

Impact

Communities In Schools Laredo boasts an impressive 94% graduation rate and a 98% retention rate among the students served. This success is a testament to the effectiveness of connecting students with caring adults and community resources.
