Our Story
Founded in 1976 by Joseph Leavy, Communities for People (CFP) emerged from the need for community-based support for youth unable to live at home. Expanding to Rhode Island in 1980, CFP has grown to provide a variety of essential services, including residential programs, foster care, and family therapy.
Impact
Each year, CFP serves over 2,000 youth and families, empowering them to achieve independence and lead fulfilling lives. The organization excels in helping youth transition from foster care to stable living situations.
