Our Story

Since 1965, the Communication Access Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc. (CAC) has been dedicated to serving Michigan’s Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind community. Governed by a Board of Directors with a majority of Deaf members, CAC focuses on bridging communication and cultural barriers. With a renewed commitment to increasing Deaf involvement in operations, CAC ensures the highest quality services for its community.

The mission of CAC is to promote communication, access, and opportunity for individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and DeafBlind. By providing culturally relevant services, CAC envisions a world where barriers between the Deaf and hearing communities are eliminated.
