Our Story

Founded in 1986 by Asian women, CAAAV: Organizing Asian Communities was established to combat rising police and hate violence in Asian communities. Over the years, the organization has expanded its focus to address systemic racism and violence affecting Asian immigrants, particularly in neighborhoods like Chinatown and Astoria.
