Our Story

The Crisis Center of Comal County, founded in 1986, began as a grassroots initiative to address domestic violence. Over the years, it has transformed from a volunteer-based organization into a comprehensive agency offering a shelter and vital support services. Following a devastating fire that destroyed the emergency shelter in 2022, the center has secured a temporary location and is committed to building a new facility by 2025.
