Our Story
Since 2009, aMuse’um has been a beacon of creativity and learning for children in Maury County and the greater Nashville area. Initiated by passionate volunteers, the museum was born from a community need for a dedicated family destination that fosters educational growth and provides a safe space for children to explore and play. After a successful pilot program, aMuse’um opened its doors in 2011, transforming downtown Columbia into a vibrant hub for families.
With over 80,000 visitors to date, aMuse’um has become more than just a museum; it is a gathering place for families, an educational venue, and a vital contributor to the local economy. The museum’s commitment to accessibility is evident through its distribution of over 14,000 free day passes and partnerships with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and Kings Daughters Center for Autism.
