The Colorado Youth Pipe Band, founded in 1989 by Neil Gillette, has evolved from a small group of novice musicians into the longest-running pipe band in the Denver area. With a focus on teaching the traditions of Highland bagpipes, drums, and dance, the band nurtures appreciation, skill, leadership, pride, and camaraderie among youth through performance and competition.
Since its inception, the Colorado Youth Pipe Band has trained dozens of talented pipers, drummers, and Highland dancers, performing hundreds of times and achieving success in various competitions, including the prestigious World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
