Empowering First-Generation College Students

Since 2005, Collegiate Directions, Inc. has been dedicated to closing the achievement and opportunity gap for first-generation-to-college students from low-income households. Through a comprehensive suite of programs, CDI equips students with the academic, financial, and social-emotional tools necessary for college success. Starting in 10th grade, each Scholar is paired with a CDI counselor who provides personalized support, including study skills workshops, test preparation, and college application assistance.

CDI’s high-touch, results-driven approach has led to an impressive 89% graduation rate among its Scholars, far exceeding the national average of 16% for similar demographics. This success is a testament to the effectiveness of mentoring, tutoring, counseling, and family support provided over six years.
