Reducing Hunger

Our Story

Founded in September 2008 as part of the College Park Church of the Nazarene, the College Park Community Food Bank has grown into a vital resource for those in need. Initially serving just 13 families, the food bank has expanded its reach significantly, especially during the pandemic. In 2021, the food bank became an independent nonprofit organization, recognized as a 501(c)(3) by the IRS, while continuing to be hosted by the Church of the Nazarene. This transformation reflects the unwavering support from local faith organizations, municipal governments, businesses, and countless individuals.

Impact

In 2021, the food bank set a record by serving 15,425 families, equating to 62,625 individuals.
