Our Story

The Colette Coyne Melanoma Awareness Campaign (CCMAC) was founded in 1998 in memory of Colette Marie Brigid Coyne, who tragically lost her life to melanoma at the age of thirty. This foundation emerged from the heartfelt efforts of those who were inspired by her legacy, aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of skin cancer on Long Island.

Our Impact

CCMAC actively engages in educational initiatives and community events to inform the public about skin cancer and melanoma. Through programs like the annual Miles for Melanoma Run/Walk and free skin cancer screenings, the foundation strives to make a significant difference in the fight against this deadly disease.
