Coda Mountain Academy
EIN: 46-2699615 · Fayetteville, WV
Our Story
The journey of Coda Mountain Academy began in 2007 with a summer music camp organized by Charles and Esther Morey. This high-caliber, two-week Summer Music Festival laid the foundation for a series of impactful programs aimed at addressing the challenges faced by a community grappling with poverty, food insecurity, and an opioid crisis. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2013, Coda Mountain Academy has since developed various initiatives, including the Coda Fine Arts Kidz day camp, after-school music programs, and STEM camps, all designed to engage youth and families meaningfully.
Impact
The impact of Coda's programs is profound. Data shows significant improvements in school attendance and a decrease in behavioral referrals among participants in the Coda Inspire program. Children who have faced trauma and struggle with confidence experience transformative changes in attitude and behavior, thanks to the supportive environment that Coda provides.
