Our Story

The Coastal Trails Coalition is a dedicated group of citizens and communities in the Lower Merrimack Valley, working tirelessly to develop the Coastal Trails Network. This public system of interconnected bicycle and pedestrian trails enhances local recreation, conservation, education, and tourism opportunities. Established in 2004 with support from the Essex National Heritage Commission and the National Park Service, CTC operates as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly into the trail network.
