Established in 1981, the Coastal Bend Community Foundation has been a beacon of philanthropy in the Coastal Bend region for over four decades. Founded by community leaders and supported by an initial donation of $150,000 from the Paul and Mary Haas Foundation, this public foundation has grown to manage over $108 million in assets. With a commitment to enhancing the quality of life in Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, and San Patricio counties, the Foundation has awarded more than $141 million in grants and scholarships through its 307 funds.
