The Coalition to Cure Calpain 3 (C3) was founded in 2010 by individuals affected by limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2A (LGMD2A/R1). This organization is committed to funding research efforts that focus on understanding the biology of LGMD2A and finding a cure. By fostering collaboration among scientists, patients, families, and the community, C3 addresses the unmet needs of this under-researched disease.
