Our Story

Founded in 1998, the Coalition for D.C. Representation Education Fund, known as DC Vote, is dedicated to strengthening democracy and securing equality for all residents of the District of Columbia. This organization envisions a fairer America where D.C. residents are treated as first-class citizens, with the ability to control their own budget and laws without congressional interference.

Impact

With 86% of D.C. residents voting in favor of statehood, and significant support from 45 Senate and 174 House cosponsors, the movement for D.C. statehood is gaining momentum.
