Our Story

Coach Lee Rose, inspired by his teachers, coaches, and single mother, dedicated his life to education and athletics. After receiving a full athletic scholarship to Transylvania University, he became a beacon of hope for countless children. While coaching in the NBA, Coach Rose spoke to over 10,000 middle school students, emphasizing the importance of education. Together with his wife, Eleanor, they devoted countless hours to uplifting children in the Appalachian Region of Eastern Kentucky. The Coach Lee Rose Foundation was established to continue this legacy, providing opportunities for underserved youth.

Impact

Since its inception in April 2022, the Coach Lee Rose Foundation has made significant strides in supporting underserved communities. The foundation has awarded two $10,000 scholarships to Transylvania University, provided over $30,000 in resources to three high schools in North Carolina and Virginia, and delivered a customized wheelchair-accessible van valued at $45,000 to a family in need.
