About Co-Lab Projects
Founded in 2008 by Sean Gaulager and Leslie Moody Castro, Co-Lab Projects began as an artist-run exhibition space dedicated to new media, installation, performance, and collaborative projects. Over the years, the organization has evolved significantly, transitioning from a small project space to a recognized nonprofit with a robust Board of Directors and a diverse array of programming.
Since its inception, Co-Lab Projects has produced over 400 exhibitions and performances, showcasing the talents of hundreds of local, national, and international artists. The organization has continually sought innovative ways to engage with larger and more diverse audiences, including curating exhibitions in professional settings and participating in significant art festivals.
In 2018, Co-Lab Projects took a monumental step by purchasing a .62 acre plot of land on Glissman Road, where plans are underway to develop a studio complex, gallery space, and outdoor performance venue. This new facility will serve as a hub for artistic expression and community engagement, further solidifying Co-Lab's commitment to supporting artists and fostering creativity.
