Our Story

Founded in 1987 by John and Ruth Tate, Clove Alliance emerged from a pressing need for support services for sexual assault survivors in Kankakee, Illinois. Recognizing the challenges faced by victims who had to travel long distances for help, the Tates collaborated with local social service organizations to establish a dedicated program. Initially known as YW-CASA, the organization evolved into Kankakee County Center Against Sexual Assault (KC-CASA) and later rebranded as Clove Alliance in 2020. This transformation reflects a commitment to better serve the community and adapt to the needs of survivors.
