Since 2006, the Cleveland Furniture Bank has been dedicated to helping previously homeless or displaced individuals and families regain their dignity by providing gently used furniture. Operating in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Summit, Medina, and Lorain counties, CFB picks up furniture donations from individuals and businesses, redistributing these items through its Furniture for Families program or selling them in an associated thrift store. This model not only supports those in need but also generates the necessary funds to sustain operations.

Making a Difference with Beds for Kids

In 2012, CFB launched the Beds for Kids program, ensuring that every child in referred families receives a new bed and mattress. This initiative stands out as the only part of the Furniture for Families program that provides new furniture, highlighting the commitment to children's well-being.

Community Impact

Annually, Cleveland Furniture Bank provides nearly 20,000 pieces of furniture to 3,500 to 4,000 individuals, with over 1,000 beds distributed to children each year. The thrift store also serves over 35,000 customers, offering affordable options while supporting the mission.
