Our Story

Founded in 2000 by Leonora Coleman, Claymakers began as a vision for a community ceramics studio that nurtures creativity and connection among artists. After Leonora's passing in 2008, her legacy was carried on by a dedicated group of students, leading to Claymakers becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2013. In 2020, the organization expanded to a larger facility, enhancing its ability to serve the community.
