Our Story

Clarksville Little Theatre began as a dream in 1947, initiated by Mr. Julius Obermiller and supported by the Clarksville Optimist Club and local community members. The first production raised $300, which was used to establish a community theatre group. Initially performing in the George Rogers Clark School gym, CLT faced challenges with rental fees, prompting a move to the Clarksville Optimist Club. With community support, fundraising efforts led to the construction of a dedicated theatre space, allowing for continued growth and improvement over the years.

Impact

As a nonprofit organization, Clarksville Little Theatre enriches the Southern Indiana and Metro Louisville area through quality performances and arts education.
