Our Story

Founded in 2011 by Marianne Banister and Rocky Wagonhurst, the Claire Marie Foundation was born from the tragic loss of their daughter, Claire, to adolescent melanoma. The foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, education, and prevention of melanoma among young people, addressing the unique risks they face.

Impact

Since its inception, the Claire Marie Foundation has screened over 1,400 young individuals for melanoma, with 16% requiring further evaluation. Awareness campaigns have reached approximately 45 million households worldwide, significantly enhancing knowledge about melanoma risks in adolescents and young adults.
