About Civil Rights Corps

Civil Rights Corps is a nonprofit organization dedicated to challenging systemic injustice in the United States’ legal system, which is built on white supremacy and economic inequality. Founded in 2016, CRC works to shift power to community-led movements, particularly those led by Black, Brown, and poor people who are most affected by the legal system, enabling them to create structural change.

Impact

Through advocacy, public education, and innovative civil rights litigation, Civil Rights Corps has won groundbreaking cases against modern debtors’ prisons and wealth-based pre-trial detention.
