About Civic Works

Civic Works is a dedicated nonprofit organization based in Baltimore, founded in 1993. The mission focuses on strengthening communities and promoting equity through education, skills development, and community service. The vision is a Baltimore where every resident has access to essential educational and employment opportunities, green spaces, and safe, affordable housing.

Impact

With a commitment to community improvement, Civic Works has successfully placed 1,302 individuals in full-time jobs and engaged 6,041 AmeriCorps members in meaningful service. Additionally, 291 vacant lots have been transformed into vibrant community spaces.
