Our Story

Founded in 1890, Civic Morning Musicals, Inc. (CMM) has been a cornerstone of the Syracuse, New York music community. Over the decades, CMM has evolved from presenting renowned classical musicians to nurturing local talent. For over forty years, CMM has hosted competitions for young professional vocalists and junior and senior high school instrumentalists, many of whom have gone on to successful musical careers. The organization also recognizes outstanding community members with Annual Awards each June, celebrating the contributions of individuals who support the arts.
