Our Story

Founded in 1983 by Mary Jane Lee, Citizens Inn emerged to combat the rising issue of family homelessness. Starting with the Citizens Inn Between shelter, the organization has expanded its reach through various programs, including a merger with Haven from Hunger in 2017. Today, Citizens Inn operates multiple initiatives aimed at providing comprehensive support to families and individuals in need.
