Our Story

Citizens for the Arts in Pennsylvania (CFAPA) serves as the Pennsylvania State Captain for Americans for the Arts advocacy campaigns. By coordinating congressional appointments during National Arts Advocacy Day, CFAPA amplifies the voice of the arts community. Through their e-newsletter, The Citizen Online, they keep stakeholders informed about arts, nonprofits, and technology. Workshops are offered to train individuals on effective communication with public policy leaders, ensuring that the importance of arts funding is recognized.

Impact

CFAPA has successfully advocated for essential funding and public policies that enhance the practice, access, and appreciation of arts and culture in Pennsylvania. Their efforts include monitoring appropriations for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
