The Citizens’ Environmental Coalition was founded in 1971 by a dedicated group of women who championed quality of life issues, such as preserving Buffalo Bayou and establishing a nature center at Armand Bayou. This Coalition has grown to connect over 100 local environmental organizations, serving as a vital information hub for the community.
