Our Story

CITA International Inc was founded by Pa Farandugu, a decorated WWII soldier who, upon returning home, recognized the need for education in his village. He inspired the community to establish a school for all children, including girls. This vision was carried forward by his daughter, Dorcas, who, after receiving her education in the United States, returned to Sierra Leone to establish the NarSarah Clinic in 2003. Today, the clinic has grown to provide essential healthcare and educational opportunities to the community.

Impact

Thousands of patients are treated annually, and numerous scholarships are awarded to students pursuing secondary, undergraduate, and graduate education, significantly transforming lives in rural Sierra Leone.
