Circle Academy was founded in 1982 by two visionary women who sought to create an alternative to traditional public school education. Through extensive research into innovative educational methods, they established a nurturing environment that respects each child's individuality. Grounded in the Montessori philosophy, Circle Academy emphasizes smaller class sizes and personalized learning experiences, allowing children to thrive at their own pace.

Since becoming a Universal Pre-Kindergarten provider in the 2007-2008 school year, Circle Academy has aligned its curriculum with New York State Pre-Kindergarten benchmarks and Common Core Learning Standards. This commitment ensures that children develop essential cognitive, social-emotional, and physical skills in a supportive setting.
