Cincinnati Shakespeare Company was founded in 1993 by a group of passionate artists, evolving into a cornerstone of Cincinnati's vibrant arts scene. With over 250 performances of nine productions annually, the company opened the Otto M. Budig Theater in 2017, becoming the only professional classical theater between Chicago and New Jersey.
Having produced all of Shakespeare's 38 plays, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company also launched community programs like the free Shakespeare in the Park Tour, making the arts accessible to all.
