Chamber Music Cincinnati

Our Story

Founded in 1929, Chamber Music Cincinnati stands as America’s fourth oldest and most inclusive chamber music presenter. This organization uniquely showcases international touring chamber musicians at the pinnacle of their art, producing six programs annually featuring a diverse range of artists from soloists to octets. In recent years, CMC has prioritized inclusivity, with 80% of ensembles featuring Black and Brown musicians, and performances held at major Black churches and Memorial Hall.

Impact

CMC provides free or nearly-free music lessons to deserving students from socio-economically disadvantaged families, preparing them for careers in music and ensuring diversity in the classical music field.
