Cincinnati Animal CARE operates Hamilton County’s only animal shelter, providing essential services as the sole taxpayer-funded provider for animal control and the dog warden. Since assuming responsibility in August 2020, Cincy CARE has embraced a humane no-kill philosophy, ensuring that every animal is valued and protected. With a commitment to individualized care, the shelter offers life-saving solutions and temporary housing, either in the shelter or through community foster homes, as they work tirelessly to find safe and compatible homes for all.
