Our Story
Cider Mill Friends of Open Space & Historic Preservation, Inc. began as a dedicated citizens’ group in May 2000, evolving into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization by January 2001. After seven years of persistent efforts, the organization proudly acquired the Kimlin Cider Mill on February 20, 2008. Today, the focus is on stabilizing and restoring this historic landmark and its surrounding property.
Impact
Thanks to the unwavering commitment of Cider Mill Friends, the Kimlin Cider Mill is now listed on the National and State Historic Registers and recognized as a Town of Poughkeepsie Historic Landmark.
