Transforming Lives at Chrysalis House

Established in 1978, Chrysalis House Inc. stands as Kentucky’s oldest and largest licensed residential treatment program dedicated to women battling substance use disorders. This unique facility allows mothers to keep their infants and toddlers with them during treatment, fostering a nurturing environment for both mother and child. With three residential facilities, a forty-unit apartment complex, and an 18,000 square foot community center, Chrysalis House offers a comprehensive range of services including mental health treatment, vocational training, and job placement assistance.

Making a Lasting Impact

Chrysalis House is committed to helping women achieve self-sufficiency and stability. Almost 50% of women entering the program are pregnant, and many deliver healthy babies while receiving care. The organization prioritizes the admission of pregnant women to mitigate the effects of substance use on unborn children. Graduates of the program not only maintain sobriety but also secure employment, earn their GEDs, and contribute positively to their communities.
