Christmas in April is a dedicated volunteer organization focused on repairing the homes of low-income and physically challenged seniors in Prince George's County, Maryland. Since its founding in 1989, the initiative has expanded significantly, growing from 30 homeowners served by 600 volunteers to 82 homeowners assisted by 3,200 volunteers in 2018.
Since its inception, Christmas in April has repaired over 2,955 homes, mobilizing 97,400 volunteers and providing more than $51.9 million in free home repair assistance to those in need.
