Our Story
The Christmas Bureau of Palo Alto has been a beacon of hope for over 65 years, starting in 1955 to support low-income families, especially children in the Palo Alto Unified School District. Originally focused on collecting toys and food, the organization has evolved to distribute checks, empowering families to choose their own needs. The Bureau has also expanded its reach to include seniors and the homeless community, with a dedicated volunteer board ensuring that 98% of funds go directly to those in need.
