Founded in 1965, the Christian Service Center of Abilene has been a beacon of hope for low-income families in the Abilene community. Originally organized under the guidance of the Sixteenth and Vine Street Church of Christ, the center has grown significantly over the years, expanding its reach and services to meet the needs of those facing economic hardships.

Our Mission

Located at 3185 N. 10th St., the Christian Service Center is dedicated to showing the kindness of Jesus to those in need. With a focus on food insecurity, clothing assistance, and spiritual nurture, the center serves as a vital resource for families struggling to make ends meet.

The Christian Service Center has become a significant provider to low-income people in Abilene who are in need of the basic essentials. Through various programs and initiatives, the center has distributed over $28,000 in aid by the end of 1968 alone, and continues to make a difference in the lives of many.
