Our Story

In 1975, Rev. Chuck Conner, affectionately known as Big Chuck, was invited into the home of Josias and Julianna in Brazil. They were seeking funds to build a new church. Inspired by their mission, Big Chuck returned to the U.S. to raise money and recruit a construction team, leading to the establishment of Christian Missions Unlimited (CMU). Since then, CMU has built over 350 churches in Brazil, connecting local American churches with their Brazilian counterparts through short-term serving opportunities.
