About the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association

Founded in 1983, the Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association (CHHA) serves as a beacon of faith within the harness racing community. Under the guidance of Jesus Christ, the organization aims to connect Christians involved in harness racing, providing a supportive network that fosters prayer and community. Initially led by Weldon Stockwell for 27 years, Chaplain Lee Alphen took over in 2011, continuing the mission of spreading the Gospel and offering prayer support to members across the United States, Canada, and beyond.

The CHHA has established a robust network of over 60 prayer partners who continuously uplift the needs of its members. Through monthly newsletters, prayer initiatives, and community support, the organization connects members at various tracks, farms, and training centers, creating a strong community of faith and support.
