Our Story

The Christian Center of Pittsfield, the oldest nonprofit human service organization in the Berkshires, was founded by a local Methodist Church. Originally established as the Epworth Mission, it provided vital services to newly arrived immigrants seeking a better life. Today, it continues to serve a diverse population, including immigrants, the working poor, the elderly, and the homeless.
